In the sea of supply chain management professionals at last week’s ISM 2015 conference in Phoenix, it was clear that broader trends are driving today’s top supply chains. In this Supply Chain Management Review interview, ISM CEO Tom Derry discusses how innovation is shifting perspectives and expanding opportunities for procurement. The challenge, as in MRO supply chain management, is to shift that mindset from viewing business process outsourcing as a cost-cutting initiative to more of an overall productivity effectiveness initiative.
