SDI Expands Partnership with UPS to Fully Integrate Quantum View into their ZEUS

SDI, Inc., a leader in digital supply chain services and solution, with 50 years of specialized focus on maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) essential materials recently announced they’ve expanded their partnership with UPS to include fully integrating Quantum View into SDI’s ZEUS supply chain platform.

UPS’s Quantum View is browser-based software that enables full visibility for inbound and outbound shipments, while offering the flexibility to customize the depth of detail to anticipate and resolve issues before they become a problem. ZEUS provides industrial manufacturers, universities, and other asset/facility intensive organizations Supreme Power over their Digital Supply Chain. The cornerstone of the platform, which includes modules for Data and Analytics, eProcurement, Storeroom Technology, and Inventory management, is a dynamic marketplace enabled by AI-automated item categorization, intelligent part recognition and identification, and buying automation through the use of bot technology.

“This is a key milestone in SDI’s evolution of the digital supply chain,” said Jim Owens, Senior Vice President at SDI. “The supply chain has become much more dynamic and complex and that complexity will only continue to grow as production and facility assets embrace the adoption of rapidly advancing technologies. Integrating Quantum View into ZEUS accelerates that evolution and enhances the customer experience.”
In general, digital systems integrations increase efficiencies and reduces costs for MRO and PPE As-a-Service (SM) supply chain management. Additionally, integrations around automated inventory, ordering, and scheduling, means fewer manual interventions are required, which in turn, improves accuracy. Integration of Quantum View into ZEUS further enhances visibility and transparency into the supply chain as 80% of MRO materials can be shipped via parcel.

As a result of the recent pandemic and supply chain disruption, organizations better understand their essential supply chains, and thus have an increased need for supply chain visibility, especially around the PPE needed to keep their employees and customers safe, disinfectants, critical machine spares, and general industrial materials needed to keep their facilities operational as they begin to ramp up production and reopen. And visibility into the logistics status, related to new orders, material returns and warranty/repairs is crucial in keeping that supply chain running.
