Earlier this month, SDI launched the brand refresh on their specialty asset component-level refurbishment program, now known as RPM.
The program moves beyond simply managing the repair process to performing root-cause failure analysis aimed at:
- Increasing uptime
- Improving asset reliability
- Reducing costs
- Decreasing carbon footprints through the repair and reuse of asset components
Research shows that typically 10-15% of items that most production facilities throw away are repairable. This represents about a 5% savings against total new item spend.
SDI partners with strategic repair houses as part of the Company’s ongoing commitment to help manufacturers enable efficient manufacturing, reliable production and agile operations through more strategic management of MRO. SDI will continue to partner with like-minded suppliers to enhance the RPM program and continue to identify savings opportunities and process improvements that increase the productivity and sustainability in their clients’ production environments.
