SDI, a leader in MRO supply chain management services, announced that Sam Bethea has joined the company as Vice President, Process Excellence. Sam will drive a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization and will oversee all continuous improvement activities across the company. Sam is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and a certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP). “Sam’s extensive knowledge, experience and leadership in continuous improvement management brings SDI to the forefront of process improvement in the MRO supply chain services industry” said Christopher Moore, SDI’s EVP, Field Operations. “Sam and his Process Excellence team will deliver efficiencies and savings to SDI and our client’s operations”.
Through various engineering and continuous improvement roles at McCormick, Campbell Soup Company, Merck-Medco and others, Sam is an expert in a number of quality and process improvement methodologies including lean, Visual Controls, 5s, Reliability Centered Maintenance and Value Stream Mapping. Sam received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T and an MBA from Drexel University.
