SDI is pleased to announce that EVP Technology and CIO, Ron Fijalkowski has been appointed to the Rutgers Big Data Advisory Board. Membership on the Board is by invitation only and is based on Fij’s personal and professional accomplishments. Fij joins a diverse, innovative and extremely well-connected network of top executives.
As a member of the Big Data Advisory Board, Fij will make several contributions to Rutgers:
- Preserving and enhancing the reputation and quality of the School through strategic review of their cred and noncredit offerings to the community, helping to guild the School’s value to the business community.
- Offering the benefits of his experience to the Rutgers faculty and students through occasional classroom visits, forums and conferences, the creation of internship opportunities and input into the School’s programs.
- Promoting the School’s goal of linking industry with academia to help ensure work is relevant and benefits the business community.
Fij’s appointment to Rutgers Big Data Advisory Board is another link in the supply chain ecosystem and an example of how SDI has invested in collaborating with academia to broaden the scope of their business and improve knowledge sharing throughout the industry. SDI is a sponsor of Penn State’s Center for Supply Chain Research and University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Reliability and Maintainability Center.
